Margaret has lived in Mid-Worcestershire for 16 years and has represented Bowbrook Ward on Wychavon District Council since 1995. Between 1996 and 1999 she chaired the Environment Committee and has been Liberal Democrat Group Leader since 1999. She is Chairman of the Droitwich Canals Trust and has served as a parent governor on Westacre Middle School. She is currently chairing a review of the High Technology Corridors as a member of the Regional Assembly’s Strategic Review Group. She was parliamentary candidate for Bromsgrove in 2001 and for Mid-Worcestershire in 2005, and currently works as Head of Knowledge Management for Worcestershire Health ICT Services.

Margaret is married with 3 grown up children, and enjoys gardening, walking and cycling when other commitments allow. She finds council work rewarding, particularly when it is possible to solve a constituent’s problem or more closely match council services to the needs of local people.
